Taxonomy
Latischisma globosa was named by Thomas (1940). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Roscobie, which is in a Brigantian offshore limestone in the Lower Limestone Formation of the United Kingdom.

It was recombined as Shansiella globosa by Amler and Heidelberger (2003), Wagner (2023).
