Taxonomy
Loxonema attenuatum was named by Lindström (1884). It is not extant. Its type locality is Samsugns 1, in Othem, 4180 m east southeast of Tingstäde Church, which is in a Sheinwoodian deep subtidal ramp limestone/marl in the Slite Beds Formation of Sweden.
It was recombined as Morania attenuatum by Wagner (1999), Wagner (2023).
