Coelocaulus davidsoni
Taxonomy
Murchisonia davidsoni was named by Oehlert (1877). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Saint-Roch quarry, north of Saint Ouen-des-Toitsand, which is in a Pragian carbonate limestone in the Saint Céneré Formation of France. It is the type species of Coelocaulus, Coelidium.
It was recombined as Coelidium davidsoni by Clarke and Ruedemann (1903); it was recombined as Coelocaulus davidsoni by Oehlert and Oehlert (1888), HornĂ½ (1952), Heidelberger (2001), Wagner (2023).
