Donaldospira geminocarinata
Taxonomy
Murchisonia geminocarinata was named by Chronic (1952). Its type specimen is Mus N. Ariz G2.353, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rimmy Jim Tank, Kaibab Formation, Coconino County, which is in a Roadian marine limestone in the Kaibab Formation of Arizona.
It was recombined as Goniasma geminocarinata by Batten (1964), Yochelson and Saunders (1967), Yancey (1969), Kulas and Batten (1997); it was recombined as Stegocoelia (Donaldospira) geminocarinata by Kues and Batten (2001); it was recombined as Donaldospira geminocarinata by Quiroz-Barroso et al. (2021), Wagner (2023).
