Hormotoma gracilens
Taxonomy
Murchisonia gracilens was named by Whitfield (1889). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Division D Beds, "Ophileta beds", Section northeast of Shoreham, which is in a Stairsian carbonate limestone/dolomite in the Fort Ann Formation of Vermont.
It was recombined as Hormotoma gracilens by Ulrich and Scofield (1897), Wagner (2023).
