Cyrtostropha coralli

Taxonomy
Pleurotoma coralli was named by de Sowerby and Murchison (1839) [de Sowerby in Murchison 1839]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Larden, Much Wenlock, which is in a Ludfordian carbonate limestone in the Aymestry Limestone Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Murchisonia (Cyrtostropha).

It was recombined as Murchisonia (Cyrtostropha) coralli by Donald (1902); it was recombined as Murchisonia coralli by Knight et al. (1960), Wagner (1999); it was recombined as Cyrtostropha coralli by Wagner (2023).
