Pleurotomaria broadheadi was named by White (1880). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Platyzona broadheadi by Knight (1945), Thein and Nitecki (1974); it was recombined as Shansiella broadheadi by Hoare (1961), Kues and Batten (2001), Wagner (2023).
