Taxonomy
Pleurotomaria conica was named by Phillips (1836). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Mourlonia conica by de Koninck (1883); it was recombined as Mourlonia (Trechmannia) conica by Longstaff (1912); it was recombined as Euconospira conica by Batten (1966), Gromczakiewicz-Łomnicka (1973), Thein and Nitecki (1974), Wagner (2023).
