Taxonomy
Pleurotomaria latezonata was named by Lindström (1884). It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Clathrospira latezonata by Ulrich and Scofield (1897); it was recombined as Conotoma latezonata by Perner (1907), Wagner (2023).
