Taxonomy
Palaeozygopleura machenryi was named by Cook (1997). It is not extant. Its type locality is QML 1094, near Little Rocks, 27km NW of Charters Towers, which is in a Givetian marine packstone in the Burdekin Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Palaeozygopleura (Rhenozyga) machenryi by Frýda (2000), Frýda and Blodgett (2004) and Wagner (2023).
