Phanerotrema labrosa
Taxonomy
Pleurotomaria labrosa was named by Hall (1859). It is not extant. Its type locality is Carlisle, Upper Pentamerus Beds (Hall), which is in a Lochkovian deep subtidal ramp packstone in the Becraft Limestone Formation of New York.
It was recombined as Pleurotomaria (Phanerotrema) labrosa by Spitz (1907); it was recombined as Phanerotrema labrosum by Rohr and Smith (1978); it was recombined as Phanerotrema labrosa by Fischer (1885), Knight (1941), Peel (1984), Wagner (2023).
