Taxonomy
Pleurotomaria squamula was named by Phillips (1836). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Luciella squamula by de Koninck (1883); it was corrected as Pleurotomaria squamulosa by Ludford (1951); it was recombined as Eirlysella squamula by Karapunar and Nützel (2022); it was recombined as Luciellina squamula by Wagner (2023).
