Taxonomy
Bembexia magna was named by Girty (1929). It is not extant. Its type locality is USGS 3204. Abandoned limestone quarry, Spring Creek Valley, Denieville, which is in a Meramecian carbonate chert/carbonate in the Boone Formation of Arkansas.
It was recombined as Ptychomphalina magna by Gordon and Yochelson (1987).
