Taxonomy
Ophiomusium calloviense was named by Hess (1963). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Museum Basel, M 6221. Its type locality is Echinoderms, claytone, Koenigi zone, Liesberg-Dorf, Berner Jura, which is in a Callovian offshore claystone in Switzerland.
