Taxonomy
Plagioglypta was named by Pilsbry (1898) [Sepkoski's age data: D Fame K Albi Sepkoski's reference number: 914]. It is extant. Its type is Dentalium undulatum.

It was assigned to Laevidentaliidae by Yoo (1988); to Scaphopoda by Sepkoski (2002); and to Dentaliidae by Reynolds and Steiner (2008).
