Ophiomusium lux was named by Jagt (2000). It is not extant. Its type specimen is NHMM MD 3150, paratypes NHMM 1994675, MD 3238, MB 487-4a, 655-1b, RD 77-78.

J. W. M. Jagt 2000Medium-sized ophiolepidid with high disc, and prominent central
plate and tumid plates of the radially arranged second series; radial shields large and separated by a series of small plates. Large oral and adoral shields, a single apical papilla, 2-3 dental papillae, and second oral tentacle pore with up to 3 papillae. Tentacle pores confined to disc, ventral and dorsal arm plates separated by lateral arm plates throughout arm; three diminutive, appressed arm spines.
