Taxonomy

Porituberoolithus was named by Zelenitsky et al. (1996). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type is Porituberoolithus warnerensis.

It was assigned to Theropoda by Zelenitsky et al. (1996); to Subtiliolithidae by Vianey-Liaud and Garcia (2003); to Theropoda by Zelenitsky and Sloboda (2005); and to Elongatoolithidae by Wang et al. (2010).
