Taxonomy

Euomphalus subplanus was named by Hall (1852). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Phanerotinus subplanus by Weller (1898); it was recombined as Straparollus (Euomphalus) subplanus by Yochelson (1962).

Synonyms

Straparollus missouriensis was named by Miller and Gurley (1896). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sedalia, which is in a Kinderhookian carbonate limestone in the Chouteau Formation of Missouri.

It was synonymized subjectively with Straparollus (Straparollus) obtusus by Yochelson and Saunders (1967).
Euomphalus obtusus was named by Hall (1858). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Straparollus obtusus by Keyes (1889), Keyes (1890), Keyes (1894), Weller (1901), Branson (1938) and Branson (1938); it was recombined as Straparollus (Straparollus) obtusus by Miller and Gurley (1896); it was synonymized subjectively with Euomphalus subplanus by Rollins (1975).
