Naimarkcyathus was named by Wrona and Zhuravlev (1996). It is not extant. It is the type genus of Naimarkcyathoidea, Naimarkcyathidae.
It was assigned to Archaeocyathida by Wrona and Zhuravlev (1996); and to Naimarkcyathidae by Debrenne et al. (2015).
