Taxonomy
Plesiodyromys toriformis was named by Werner (1994). It is not extant. Its type specimen is SMNS 44572/E-7 m.inf. sin., a tooth. Its type locality is Ulm-Westtangente, which is in a MN 2 terrestrial marl in Germany. It is the type species of Plesiodyromys.
