Taxonomy
Pararuesticyrtium sanfilippoae was named by Tekin and Mostler (2005). Its type specimen is GPU 2003/ TEMO 1-081. Its type locality is Collection 88-272, Varoski Creek, High Karst Nappe, Dinarides, which is in a Longobardian basinal (carbonate) limestone in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
