Spondylus perrini

Taxonomy
Spondylus perrini was named by Wiedey (1928) [TYPE LOCALITY: California; Vaqueros Fm (Oligocene-Miocene).]. Its type specimen is Leland Stanford Junior University 438, a valve, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is LSJU loc. 437, Wiley Canyon, which is in a Miocene coastal sandstone in the Vaqueros Formation of California.
