Pelomys europeus

Taxonomy
Pelomys europeus was named by de Bruijn et al. (1970). It is not extant. Its type specimen is IVAU MA-551, M1M2 sup. dext., a set of teeth. Its type locality is Maritsa, which is in a MN 13 fissure fill horizon in Greece.

H. de Bruijn et al. 1970First and second lamina of M1 each with three well-isolated cusps. t1 and t4 are situated at the same level as t3 and t6 respectively. Teeth not stephanodont. M1 with median anterocone. t1 larger than t3 in M2. Terminal heel of m1 and m2 small and rounded. M3 large.
