Prosarcodon lonanensis
Taxonomy
Prosarcodon lonanensis was named by McKenna et al. (1984). Its type specimen is WNUG specimen no. 78Sh001, a partial skull (Fragmentary skull and jaws), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Shimen Commune (lower bed), which is in a Paleocene terrestrial mudstone in the Fangou Formation of China. It is the type species of Prosarcodon.
