Metasarcodon reshetovi
Taxonomy
Metasarcodon reshetovi was named by Lopatin and Kondrashov (2004). Its type specimen is PIN 3107-401, a maxilla, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Khaichin Ula II [SMPE], which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Khaychin Formation of Mongolia. It is the type species of Metasarcodon.
