Archaeodesmana baetica
Taxonomy
Archaeodesmana baetica was named by Martín-Suárez et al. (2001). Its type specimen is PUR-4 968, a mandible (left dentary with c1, p1, p2), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Purcal 4, which is in a MN 13 fluvial-lacustrine siliciclastic in the Alhambra Formation of Spain.
