Taxonomy
Dibolia brailloni was named by Rümke (1985). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Collection of Dr. Braillon Beauvais unnumbered, a skull (skull with i1-i2,c-m3 (dex.) and i1,c-p2,p4-m2 (sin)). Its type locality is Grotte de Sète, which is in a Pliocene cave conglomerate in France.
It was recombined as Archaeodesmana brailloni by Hutterer (1995), Martín-Suárez et al. (2001).
