Mesetaornis polaris
Taxonomy
Mesetaornis polaris was named by Myrcha et al. (2002). Its type specimen is IB/P/B-0278, a limb element (left tarsometatarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is La Meseta Fm Telm 7, which is in a Priabonian estuary/bay sandstone in the La Meseta Formation of Antarctica.
