Podocnemis negrii
Taxonomy
Podocnemis negrii was named by Carvalho et al. (2002). Its type specimen is UFAC-PV 4441, a partial skeleton (incomplete dorsal carapace, anterior plastron fragment, and right pelvic girdle), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is South of Rio Branco, which is in a Huayquerian/Montehermosan fluvial horizon in the Solimões Formation of Brazil.
