Parasorex depereti

Taxonomy
Galerix depereti was named by Crochet (1986). It is not extant. Its type specimen is LPVM MTH1, a tooth (M1 dex.). Its type locality is Mont-Helene, which is in a Ruscinian fissure fill horizon in France.

It was recombined as Parasorex depereti by van den Hoek Ostende (2001).

J.-Y. Crochet 1986Cette espèce est la plus grande actuallement décrite dans ce genre. Morpholiquement, elle se distingue de G. exilis par les mêmes caractères que G. socialis, c'est-à-dire par un lobe labial de la P3 à deux cuspides et une crête postérieure du métaconule des molaires supérieures quise prolonge jusqu'à l;angle postéro-labial de la couronne.
