Taxonomy
Crassinella haylocki was named by Pilsbry and Olsson (1941). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Zone J - Canoa Formation, which is in a Piacenzian/Gelasian coastal sandstone/claystone in the Canoa Formation of Ecuador.
