Desmanella quinquecuspidata

Taxonomy
Desmanella quinquecuspidata was named by Mayr and Fahlbusch (1975) [Not referable to Desmanella according to Rümke (1985)]. It is not extant. Its type specimen is BSP 1973 XIX 96, a mandible (sin. with p3-m3). Its type locality is Hammerschmiede, which is in a Tortonian terrestrial claystone in the Upper Freshwater Molasse Formation of Germany.

Fahlbusch 1975Eine Art der Gattung Desmanella, größenmäßig zwischen Desmanella stehlini und Mygalinia hungarica, p4 mit ausgebildetem Talonid, aber ohne Metaconid; Hypoconid-Vorderarm und Protoconid-Hinterarm des m1 vereinigen sich hoch am Metaconid. P4 mit gerundetem Vorderabhang und drei Nebenspitzen, M1 mit dreispitzigen Außenhügel neben dem Paraconus und mit runder Lingualwand.
