It was reranked as the family Daldorfiidae by Schweitzer (2001), Schweitzer et al. (2006).

It was assigned to Brachyura by Ng and Rodriguez (1986); to Parthenopoidea by Schweitzer (2001), Schweitzer et al. (2006); and to Parthenopidae by Schweitzer et al. (2010), Luque et al. (2017), Ferratges et al. (2019), Schweitzer et al. (2020).
