Daldorfia was named by Rathbun (1904). It is extant.

It was assigned to Daldorfiidae by Schweitzer (2001), Schweitzer et al. (2006); and to Daldorfiinae by Ng and Rodriguez (1986), Schweitzer et al. (2010), Luque et al. (2017), Schweitzer et al. (2020).
