E. Martin Suarez and M. Freudenthal 1994Muridae of about the same size as or bigger than the extant Rattus rattus (L., 1758). M1 and M2 with t6 and t9 frequently seprated. Upper molars with broad central cusps. In the M3 the two posterior cusps, t8 and t9, are differentiated. Lower molars with a well-developed labial cingulum; m1 with the anteroconid generally separated from the protoconid-metaconid complex; tma voluminous.
