Occitanomys (Rhodomys) debruijni

Taxonomy
Castillomys debruijni was named by Sen et al. (1989). It is not extant. Its type specimen is IVAU MA 471, a tooth (M1 sup. dext.). It is the type species of Occitanomys (Rhodomys).

It was recombined as Occitanomys (Rhodomys) debruijni by Martín Suárez and Mein (1991).

E. Martín Suárez and P. Mein 1991Large-sized Rhodomys; M1 with a big, sometimes isolated, t1bis; labial longitudinal spur (connection t3-t5) reduced or absnet. The t8 in M3 is generally isolated. Lower molars with a longitudinal spur that seldom forms a crest. m2 without c1.
