Taxonomy
Castillomys debruijni was named by Sen et al. (1989). It is not extant. Its type specimen is IVAU MA 471, a tooth (M1 sup. dext.). It is the type species of Occitanomys (Rhodomys).
It was recombined as Occitanomys (Rhodomys) debruijni by Martín Suárez and Mein (1991).
