Taxonomy
Galerix uenayae was named by van den Hoek Ostende (1992). It is not extant. Its type specimen is MTA Ke 6333, a tooth (M2 sup. dext.). Its type locality is Keseköy, which is in a MN 3 lacustrine claystone/coal in Türkiye.
