Taxonomy
Codakia spinulosa was named by Dall (1903) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Pliocene; Jamaica.]. Its type specimen is USNM 135713, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Codakia (Codakia) spinulosa by Woodring (1925).
