Taxonomy
Galerix remmerti was named by van den Hoek Ostende (2003). Its type specimen is RGM 410026, a tooth (M2 sup. dext.), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ramblar 1, which is in a Miocene terrestrial horizon in Spain.
