Taxonomy
Galerix remmerti was named by van den Hoek Ostende (2003). Its type specimen is RGM 410026, a tooth (M2 sup. dext.), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ramblar 1, which is in a Miocene terrestrial horizon in Spain.

L. W. van den Hoek Ostende 2003Galerix remmerti is a medium sized species of Galerix (m2 aprox. 2,5). The metaconid of thee p4 is well developed, the paraconid more or less free standing. The P3 usually bears one lingual cusp only. A protocone-metaconule connection on the M1 and M2 is invariably present.
