Foxemys mechinorum

Taxonomy
Foxemys mechinorum was named by Tong et al. (1998). Its type specimen is MD t 10, a partial skeleton (dorsoventrally crushed skull with right half of carapace and complete plastron), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Fox-Amphoux-La Bastide Neuve, which is in a Campanian fluvial claystone in France.
