Taxonomy
Crurithyris alaskensis was named by Savage et al. (1978). Its type specimen is USNM 223911 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Port Refugio 1, which is in a Famennian marine siliciclastic/limestone in the Port Refugio Formation of Alaska.
