Thigriffides alamogordoensis

Thigriffides alamogordoensis was named by Brezinski (2000) [Thigriffides? alamogordoensis]. Its type specimen is CM 45993, a pygidium, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dead Mans Branch, Alamo Canyon, Lake Valley Formation, Alamogordo Member, Otero, which is in an Osagean deep subtidal shelf lime mudstone/wackestone in the Lake Valley Formation of New Mexico.
