Stenoblepharum strasburgense
Taxonomy
Proetus strasburgensis was named by Cooper (1953) [Proetus (s.1.) strasburgensis]. Its type specimen is USNM 116426a, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Loc. 3. south side of road, 0.2 mile east of Strasburg Junction, which is in a Turinian carbonate limestone in the Edinburg Formation of Virginia.
It was recombined as Stenoblepharum strasburgense by Edgecombe et al. (1997).
