Taxonomy
Valditermes brenanae was named by Jarzembowski (1981). Its type specimen is In. 64588 BMNH, a forewing (forewing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Clockhouse Brickworks (BMNH collection), which is in a Hauterivian lagoonal mudstone in the Weald Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.
