Strombina (Strombina) parca was named by Jung (1989) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Pliocene; Costa Rica.]. Its type specimen is NMB H 17204, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is NMB Loc. 17465 - Rio Sand Box [Rio Banano Fm], which is in a Piacenzian marine siliciclastic in the Rio Banano Formation of Costa Rica.
