Vasum suwanneensis was named by Petuch (1997) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Oligocene; Florida. COMMENTS: Holotype number duplicated with Solenosteira suwanneensis]. Its type specimen is UF 75984 (duplicaed number), a partial shell, and it is not a trace fossil.
