Betaneospirifer ambiensis

Taxonomy
Spirifer ambiensis was named by Waagen (1883). Its type specimen is GSI 3524 and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Amb, very highest beds of Productus-limestone, Salt Range, which is in a Changhsingian coastal sandstone in the Chhidru Formation of Pakistan.

It was recombined as Neospirifer ambiensis by Waterhouse (1978) and Lee and Gu (1980); it was recombined as Betaneospirifer ambiensis by Waterhouse (2004).
