Taxonomy
Haplistion aeluroglossa was named by Finks (1960). Its type specimen is PU 78864 and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USNM703c, Old Word Ranch, Glass Mountains, which is in a Kungurian slope limestone in the Road Canyon Formation of Texas.
