Anderssonoceras was named by Grabau (1924) [Sepkoski's age data: P Djhu Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant. Its type is Anderssonoceras anfuense.
It was assigned to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002); to Anderssonoceratidae by Tozer (1981) and Leonova (2002); and to Anderssonoceratinae by Korn (2006).
