Taxonomy
Antillocyathus alatus was named by Cairns and Wells (1987). Its type locality is NMB Loc. 15871 - Rio Gurabo [Gurabo Fm], which is in a Messinian perireef or subreef siliciclastic/limestone in the Rio Gurabo Formation of the Dominican Republic.
